
A bloody day was witnessed in southern Lebanon, as the intensity of Israeli military operations escalated, affecting dozens of villages and towns, leaving more than 30 dead and a large number of injured. Meanwhile, field sources spoke of heavy exchanges of shelling and violent clashes along the border strip.
Since the noon hours, the aerial bombardment has focused on various areas such as Toulin, Ramadi, Bint Jbeil, Safad al-Battikh, Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, Kafr Tibnit, al-Jumaimma, Konin, Yanouh, al-Rayhan Heights, Hanin, Majdal Salam, al-Sama`iyya, Beit Yahoun and Dibbin. In addition, Al-Qalila, Al-Mansouri, Majdal Zun, Kafra, Yater, Beit Yahoun, Kunine and Al-Tiri were subjected to intense artillery bombardment.
According to field information, the death toll from the two raids on the town of Kunine rose to 10, while 3 were killed in Bint Jbeil, 5 in Ramadiyya, 2 were killed in Kafra, 4 were killed in Maaroub-Dardghiya, 4 were killed in Houmin al-Tahta, 1 was killed in Al-Zarriya, 2 were killed in Al-Mansouri, in addition to 2 killed in the Butm Mountains, with search and rescue operations continuing and the number of wounded increasing.
A center affiliated with the Islamic Health Authority in the town of Kafra was also targeted, killing one person and wounding 4 others. In a separate incident, a drone airstrike targeted a car in Bint Jbeil, causing casualties.
The escalation was not limited to air strikes, as Israeli forces continued to destroy homes, as there were reports of the destruction of an entire neighborhood in the town of Naqoura, in addition to the destruction of a large number of homes in Deir Saryan, Qantara and Khiam.
For its part, Hezbollah announced that its fighters clashed with an Israeli force near the citadel in the town of Shamaa, using light and medium weapons, missiles, and artillery shells, confirming that a military vehicle was targeted with a guided missile.
In successive statements, the party announced the targeting of gatherings of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in Avivim, Khallet al-Hajjah in Aitaroun, Farez Hill in Ainata, Qantara, Taybeh, Deir Saryan, al-Quzah, Adissa, Miskvam, Yaroun, Shumira, al-Bayada, Hadbat al-Ajl and Metulla, with missile barrages and attack aircraft.
The party reported that a force stationed inside a house near the tank in the town of Qantara was targeted with a guided missile, and a military helicopter was targeted in the skies of Yaroun with two surface-to-air missiles, in addition to shooting down a “Hormuz 450” drone in the skies of Ainata, and confronting warplanes in the southern skies and in the skies of Joya and Bavelay.
It was also announced that two Merkava tanks were destroyed at Farez Hill in Ainata and Al-Salaa Hill in Qantara.
