It appears, according to what the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported, that there is no ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah on the horizon, in light of the continuing military operations and mutual escalation between the two parties.
This assessment comes at a time when the Israeli army continues to expand the scope of its operations inside Lebanese territory. The army announced a series of air strikes on Hezbollah targets in Beirut, after issuing warnings to residents of a number of neighborhoods in the southern suburb.
In parallel, air strikes continue on several southern towns, in addition to focused ground operations south of the Litani, destroying what the army describes as “military infrastructure.” The Israeli army spokesman had repeatedly stated that the operations were “continuing” and that the confrontation had “entered a broader phase.”
On the other hand, missile attacks from the Lebanese side continue towards northern Israel, with Israeli statements indicating that “there are no conditions for a ceasefire at the current stage.”
