
Downdetect, a website specialized in tracking Internet outages, reported receiving reports from users in a number of countries around the world regarding problems with the Telegram service.
According to the data published by the site, more than 2,400 reports related to this problem were registered during the past few hours, and more than 5,300 reports were recorded over the past 24 hours. The majority of these reports came from Russia, specifically from cities such as Petersburg, Magdan and the Yamalo-Nenets region, in addition to users in the United States and Germany.
Statistics show that more than a third of complaints are related to a defect in the Telegram website, while 31% of complaints indicated problems with notifications within the application, and 27% of complaints mentioned problems in the performance of the application on mobile phones.
Russian media also indicated that users in Russia began reporting these problems since Wednesday, and most complaints at that time were from users in the cities of Moscow, Petersburg, and the Russian Republic of Mari El. (Russia Today)
