The Health Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported casualties and injuries as a result of Israeli air strikes that targeted areas in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The center explained in a statement that an Israeli raid targeted the Bir Hassan area, resulting in the martyrdom of a Lebanese citizen.
In a separate statement, the center also stated that another Israeli raid targeted the Mar Mikhael-Al-Shiyah area, resulting in the death of a person of Syrian nationality and the wounding of three citizens.
These air strikes come in light of the escalation in the intensity of military operations, as the southern suburbs of Beirut and other areas in Lebanon have been subjected to intense Israeli raids in recent hours, coinciding with the continuation of clashes on the Lebanese border.
These raids led to the targeting of a number of neighborhoods and residential areas, resulting in “martyrs, wounded, and material damage to buildings and property,” while ambulance and civil defense teams continue their efforts to evacuate the injured and follow up on rescue operations in the affected areas.
