Within a few days, Honor is preparing to unveil its new foldable phone, Magic V6, in addition to displaying its “robot” phone that it hinted at last year, during its expected participation in the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona.
The company’s event this year comes under the slogan “Believers in AI Future,” in an explicit reference to its focus on artificial intelligence as a key element in its modern devices, which also includes its upcoming MagicPad 4 tablet.
The Magic V6 comes as a successor to the Magic V5 phone, which is considered among the thinnest foldable phones in its category, and which competed strongly with devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, as stated in a report published by the “phonearena” website and viewed by “Arabia Business.” The company promises to provide a thinner and more durable phone, in addition to a larger battery.
For comparison, the Magic V5 carries a 5820 mAh battery, which outperforms the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s 4400 mAh battery. Recent leaks indicate that the Magic V6 may come with a huge battery with a capacity of up to 7150 mAh, which may give it a noticeable advantage in the lifespan of use, if this information is correct. Leaked images also revealed an ultra-thin design, which reinforces expectations that “Honor” pays great attention to combining thinness with large battery capacity, an equation that has always posed a challenge in the foldable phone category.
In addition to the foldable phone, Honor returns to showcase its controversial project: the “robot phone.” The idea is to present an artificial intelligence device as a “mobile smart companion.” The most prominent feature of this phone is the extendable and rotating camera, so that it moves to track the scene in front of it, in an experience described as similar to the behavior of a living being observing the world around it. The company is expected to reveal broader details about this device during the exhibition, in preparation for its possible launch later in the year. (Arabic)
