In a statement, the Ministry of Finance announced a new step aimed at simplifying tax procedures for citizens. In the context of its continuous efforts to develop electronic services, the Ministry has allowed taxpayers registered electronically to follow up on their tax affairs directly, quickly and securely, as well as facilitating the process of paying taxes without the need to visit tax departments.
The Ministry explained that these taxpayers can now view the details of the taxes, fees, and fines owed by them, and pay them electronically, or print the details to pay them in paper later.
This service can be used by accessing the “electronic tax system” via the Ministry of Finance website: (eservices.finance.gov.lb) using the taxpayer’s data (username, password, secret code). After that, click on the “Inquiry – My Tax” service on the home page, then the amounts due can be paid electronically, or receipts can be printed to be paid on paper through the approved payment channels, which are the funds of the Ministry of Finance, commercial banks, Liban Post, or companies contracting with the Ministry for this purpose. The Ministry also stressed the necessity of keeping the “original payment receipt.”
The Ministry concluded its statement by emphasizing its commitment to modernizing its systems and constantly developing work mechanisms, with the aim of improving tax compliance and keeping pace with the latest practices in this field.
