Lebanon is experiencing difficult winter weather, with stormy and cold conditions prevailing in several regions, accompanied by intermittent heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds.
Weather forecasts indicate significant wind activity in most parts of the country, with strong gusts that may cause limited damage, while the sea will be rough to very rough, threatening maritime navigation. In addition, dense fog is expected to form on the mountains, reducing visibility.
High mountainous areas have witnessed snowfall, especially in the eastern and northern ranges, with the possibility of it extending to lower altitudes during the night, coinciding with an increase in the severity of the cold, amidst severely cold conditions in the mountainous and inland regions.
The temperature is still below the usual rates for this time of year, with cold weather during the day and very cold at night, with the intensity of the rain gradually decreasing in the evening, while unstable weather conditions continue.
Forecasts for the coming days:
Wednesday: “Partly to mostly cloudy weather, with a slight increase in temperatures, but they remain below seasonal averages, and the possibility of light and scattered rain.”
Thursday: “Scattered clouds with the possibility of light drizzle, and a return of temperatures to their normal rates.”
Friday: “Relatively stable and partly cloudy weather without a noticeable change in temperatures.”
Saturday: “Partly cloudy with the possibility of light local rain, especially in the northern regions.”
