أطلقت النائبة ندى بستاني الخوري، عضو تكتل “لبنان القوي” ووزيرة الطاقة السابقة، سلسلة تغريدات عبر منصة “إكس”، وذلك ردًا على تصريح وزير الطاقة والمياه :جوزيف صدي، بشأن كلفة دعم الكهرباء في لبنان.

وقالت بستاني: “وزير الطاقة جو الصدي طلع معو إنو الـ23 مليار يللي اندفعوا لدعم سعر الكهربا هنّي هدر، وكانوا أمّنوا كهربا لدول الشرق الأوسط”.

وأضافت بلهجة حادة: “معالي الوزير، فهمنا إنو بالكتلة عندكن مشكلة بالعدّ والحسابات، بس كنّا متأملين إنو وزير تكنوقراط متلك عالقليلة يدقّق بالأرقام قبل ما ينجرّ عالشعبوية”.

وتابعت بستاني: “بنصحك تاخد جدول وزارة المالية يللي عطيتو لزميلك الحاصباني، واللي بيبيّن إنو كهرباء لبنان أخذت مساهمات من الدولة بين سنة 1994 و2000، ومن 2000 حتى 2021 أخدت السلف يلي عم تحكي عنن بقيمة 22.7 مليار دولار، وكلّو لتغطية كلفة دعم تسعيرة الكهربا”.

واختتمت بستاني كلامها قائلة: “بعد 9 أشهر من استلامك وزارة الطاقة، ما في حجة إنو بعد ما خبروك هالشي، وإلا في مشكلة بالعدّ. معاليك، يلي وعد الناس بتخفيض سعر الصرف وبالكهرباء 24/24 خلال 6 أشهر، أكيد رح يضوّي الشرق الأوسط كله وبـ6 أشهر كمان؟ فرجينا بالأول الخطة على مستوى لبنان، وبعدين الله يوفقك بالشرق الأوسط”.

Neda Bustani Khoury, a member of the “Strong Lebanon” bloc and former Minister of Energy, launched a series of tweets on the “X” platform in response to a statement by the Minister of Energy and Water, Joseph Sedi, regarding the cost of electricity subsidies in Lebanon.

Bustani said: “Energy Minister Joe Sedi came to the conclusion that the 23 billion that was paid to subsidize the price of electricity was wasted, and it could have provided electricity to the countries of the Middle East.”

She added in a sharp tone: “Your Excellency, we understand that you have a problem with counting and calculations in the bloc, but we were hoping that a technocratic minister like you would at least check the numbers before being dragged into populism.”

Bustani continued: “I advise you to take the Ministry of Finance’s table that you gave to your colleague Hasbani, which shows that Électricité du Liban took contributions from the state between 1994 and 2000, and from 2000 to 2021 it took the advances that you are talking about, worth $22.7 billion, all to cover the cost of subsidizing the price of electricity.”

Bustani concluded her speech by saying: “After 9 months of taking over the Ministry of Energy, there is no excuse that you have not been informed of this, otherwise there is a problem with counting. Your Excellency, the one who promised people a reduction in the exchange rate and 24/24 electricity within 6 months, will surely light up the entire Middle East in 6 months as well? First show us the plan at the Lebanese level, and then God bless you in the Middle East.”
