This morning, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, a new fuel price schedule was issued in Lebanon, recording an increase in the prices of both types of gasoline and diesel, compared to a slight decline in the price of a bottle of gas.
The prices were as follows:
95 octane gasoline: 2,571,000 LBP, up 33,000 LBP
98 octane gasoline: 2,589,000 LBP, up 33,000 LBP
Diesel: 2,446,000 Lebanese pounds, up 13,000 pounds
Gas: 1,167,000 Lebanese pounds, a decrease of 1,000 pounds
The price schedule issued on Friday, August 28, recorded a significant increase in the price of both types of gasoline by 67,000 liras, and in the price of diesel by 34,000 liras, compared to a decrease in the price of gas by 7,000 liras.
Thus, the price of a can of 95-octane gasoline rose within days from 2,538,000 to 2,571,000 liras, while the price of diesel rose from 2,433,000 to 2,446,000 liras, and the decline in gas stabilized at a limited level after its decline in the previous table.
