In a statement, the Electricity Committee in the Municipality of Tire denounced “the pricing announced by a number of private generator owners in the city of Tire and its region,” stressing that “the municipality is not responsible for this pricing, and has nothing to do with determining or approving it.”
The Electricity Committee called on “generator owners to abide by the official pricing issued by the Ministry of Energy and Water, and not to burden citizens with additional burdens,” calling on “the security services and concerned authorities to take the necessary measures to prevent any violations in this regard, and to prosecute anyone who exceeds the approved official pricing.”
The municipality of Tire affirmed its “standing by the people of the city and the neighborhood, and its keenness to protect the interests of citizens and alleviate their burdens in light of the difficult economic and living conditions.”
