In the south, the Department of Economy teams followed up on fuel distribution operations, and implemented control measures that included opening closed stations whose tanks contained gasoline and diesel, and organizing arrest reports against violators in cases of monopoly or non-compliance with the official price, in Tyre, Al-Bus, Burj Rahal, Rum, Annan, and Jezzine.
Distribution companies also continue to follow up to ensure that the quantities received reach the markets in accordance with legal procedures.
The monitoring rounds also included Nabatieh Governorate, to ensure that distributors adhere to the approved schedules, verify the distribution of all quantities received, and monitor any development related to the availability of the material and the movement of demand in safe areas.
As for the north, the Department of Economy continued its visits to gas stations and distribution companies in Beddawi, Anfeh – Koura, Tripoli, Chekka – Batroun, Zgharta, and Akkar, to follow up on distribution mechanisms in light of the increasing pressure on demand and the relative scarcity in some markets.
In parallel, the Consumer Protection Directorate’s tours included restaurants and tourist establishments in Tripoli, Batroun, and Dinniyeh, regarding compliance with public safety and food hygiene conditions, and the necessary measures were taken against violators.
