“Lebanon Debate” learned that “Hezbollah” changed its method of following up on the judicial files related to it, after entrusting this task to a group of lawyers close to it, who are responsible for reviewing the judicial matters and moving before the competent judicial authorities.
This change comes after a period in which the head of the party’s Liaison and Coordination Unit, Wafiq Safa, was personally attending the Palaces of Justice to follow up on a number of files. This direct presence raised repeated objections to the nature of his interference within the judicial facility, especially after it came to the point on one occasion of directing an indirect threat to the judicial investigator in the Beirut Port explosion case.
According to information, the assigned lawyers today move in an organized manner between offices and courts, and follow the required procedures, communications, and files. Thus, the party did not retreat from pursuing its issues, but rather replaced the direct interface that Safa represented with a legal cover that carried out the same task using different tools.
