iOS 27 relies on Apple’s artificial intelligence technologies to provide 3 advanced photo editing tools, including a greatly improved version of the Clean Up tool.
The “Extend” tool allows users to automatically expand the image frame and add new content that is compatible with the original scene, helping to adjust the aspect ratio or correct the horizon without losing essential elements in the image.
As for the “Reframe” tool, it relies on advanced spatial models inspired by “Apple Vision Pro” glasses technologies, as it allows the angle of the scene within the image to be re-adjusted after taking it, with an immediate preview of the changes as if the camera was repositioned during the shooting.
Apple made fundamental updates to the shared albums feature via iCloud in iOS 27, the first of its kind in years, while adding a set of improvements that make it easier to share content between users.
These improvements include supporting the sharing of photos and video clips in full resolution, allowing albums to be shared with users of Windows and Android systems, in addition to the ability to interact using emojis, facilitating saving photos, setting the expiration date of albums, and granting additional permissions to participants.
Apple added two new groups within the Utilities section of the application; The first is called “I took myself,” and displays only photos taken by the user personally, excluding screenshots and photos saved from other sources.
As for the second group, “Identity Documents,” it relies on analyzing the image library to automatically discover important documents, such as passports and driver’s licenses, and display them in a designated, easily accessible place.
Users can also add keywords to images to improve searches and organization in the future, in addition to general improvements to album management. (Erm News)
