The Wall Street area in New York City witnessed a state of panic, after a passenger car caught fire and exploded near the famous “Angry Bull” statue, amid crowded traffic during rush hour.

According to the New York Post, a video clip showed the moment a New York City Transportation Authority car turned into a “fireball” meters away from the famous statue, while passers-by fled in panic amid screams and panic at the scene.

The accident occurred on Tuesday in one of the busiest areas in Manhattan, where firefighting teams rushed to the scene and were able to control the fire after about an hour and a half of work.

The New York Fire Department confirmed that investigations are still underway to determine the causes of the accident, noting that there have been no indications so far of intentional action or criminal suspicion behind the explosion.

Despite the violent scene and the large explosion, no injuries were recorded among passers-by, at a time when the incident sparked widespread interaction on social networking sites because it occurred near one of the most famous tourist and economic landmarks on Wall Street.

The “Angry Bull” statue is a famous symbol of financial and economic power in New York, and it attracts thousands of tourists and visitors daily, which doubled the shock of the scene and the widespread spread of the video clips.
