Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz condemned the deliberate raid on the home of the military police chief, which occurred while his family members were inside the house.
Katz stressed that any harm or attempt to harm members of the security services, especially the leaders and soldiers of the Israeli army, is considered crossing a red line, noting that what happened was behind “a group of violent criminals” and requires the full force of the law to be applied against them.
He called on the competent authorities to act decisively and quickly, and to use all available means to identify the suspects and bring them to justice.
He also affirmed his support for Colonel Yuval Yamin, stressing that he would not allow harm to the leaders and soldiers of the Israeli army.
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the violent attack on the military police chief, demanding that those involved be dealt with very firmly.
