Qalibaf warns against "Trump's recklessness": He complies with Netanyahu’s orders

The Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, warned via a tweet on his account on the “X” platform that the entire region is in danger of burning, considering that US President Donald Trump insists on obeying the orders of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Ghalibaf stressed that Trump’s “reckless” actions will drag the United States into a catastrophic situation that will affect every American family, stressing that Trump will not achieve any benefit by what he described as committing “war crimes.”

He pointed out that the best solution lies in respecting the rights of the Iranian people, stressing that continuing on this path will only lead to further escalation.

These statements come against the backdrop of a noticeable escalation in Trump’s tone, as he told the Wall Street Journal that Iran will lose all of its electricity generating stations and basic facilities if it does not open the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that there is no specific deadline for the end of the war.

The newspaper also quoted Trump as saying that rebuilding Iran could take “if they are lucky” 20 years, and that his country has a great position of power.

In a previous interview with Axios, Trump confirmed that the United States was conducting “deep negotiations” with the Iranians, but at the same time he hinted at the possibility of bombing vital facilities if an agreement was not reached within the time frame he specified.
