Israeli Military Operation Against Hezbollah, Statements on Gaza and the Northern Front, and Threats to Iran.
In a televised interview broadcast on Israeli Channel 14, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Israeli army carried out a large-scale military operation, targeting the destruction of a strategic stockpile of weapons belonging to Hezbollah, which had been stored over the years. Netanyahu described the operation as “an unprecedented blow to the capabilities of the party,” and it was completed in just six hours.
Netanyahu explained that Operation “Biggers” was based on intelligence indicating that Hezbollah was sending samples of these weapons for technical checks, in preparation for their adoption on the front. He added: “We moved proactively before the weapon entered the full operational phase.”
In another context, Netanyahu confirmed that Israel did not inform the United States about the assassination of the former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, considering that “the decision was taken within a narrow command room and we did not wait for approval from anyone.”
Regarding the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu said: “The end of the war depends on the complete disarmament of Hamas and the sector, and operations will not be stopped before the dismantling of Hamas’ military structure.”
Speaking about the northern front, he said: “We will remain stationed at the top of Mount Hermon, and any agreement related to southern Syria must include disarmament… and we will not allow an attack on the Druze.”
At the end of his speech, Netanyahu directed threats to Iran, saying: “We eliminated senior Iranian leaders, but the threat has not ended… Our eyes are on Iran, and the war with it has not ended.”
