There are many indicators that confirm that the war as the region experienced in recent years has effectively ended. Perhaps the Gaza agreement is the best evidence of the American will that is moving to impose an end to the major conflict in its old form.
The first reason for this shift is due to the United States of America, which realizes that any additional involvement in the region will contribute to weakening its global position. War is not only a military drain, but also an economic and political drain at the same time. Washington knows that any attempt to change the balance in the Middle East will open the door for China to advance economically and perhaps militarily in the vacuum left by America. What is worse for it is that its image in the region is declining. The peoples of the Middle East no longer view it as a protecting force or an ally, but rather as a state that exploits the crises of others and fuels conflicts from afar.
The second reason is the clear state of exhaustion in the Israeli army. Despite its security and technological superiority, years of confrontation made it difficult for it to fight a new all-out war. The human and material cost of any future war will be so high that he may lose the field achievements he achieved in the past two years. The army, which is accustomed to taking the initiative, must now be more cautious because any error in calculations may reflect on the Israeli interior, whether on the political or popular level.
The third reason is related to the change in the American view of the course of events in the region. There is a growing conviction that politics can create the actual results after the military transformation. Experience has shown that military strikes in Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, and Iran have not been completely resolved, while negotiations and political pressure may achieve more stable gains. Therefore, Washington seeks to maintain a level of tension that allows it to remain influential, without sliding into an all-out war that exhausts it again.
Based on this, it seems that the next stage will not be a stage of return to the great war, but rather a period of calculated escalation and strikes under the ceiling of sliding. It is a new cold war, but with different tools: drones, economic blockade, and media manipulation.
