"نحن نحاجة إليها أيضا".. ترامب يخشى إعطاء توماهوك لأوكرانيا

US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that his country cannot “exhaust” its stock of Tomahawk missiles that Ukraine is seeking to obtain from the United States to respond to Russian attacks.

In response to a question about these winged (cruise) missiles that his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, wants to convince him, during their upcoming meeting in Washington on Friday, to supply Kiev with, Trump said, “We cannot exhaust our country’s (reserves),” adding, “We also need them, so I don’t know what we can do.”

The US President’s statement came shortly after he received a phone call from his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, during which the two men agreed to meet in Budapest “within two weeks.”

In this regard, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sepiga considered that the ongoing talks between Kiev and Washington about the possibility of the United States supplying Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles were what “forced” Putin to contact Trump.

Sebiga said in a post on the X platform, “The conversation that took place today between US President Donald Trump and Putin is evidence that simply discussing the Tomahawk missile file has forced Putin to resume dialogue with America.”
