In a position that combines the Ukrainian and Iranian files, US President Donald Trump reaffirmed that his priority in Ukraine is to end the war, while at the same time he defended his decisions towards Iran, considering that he did what was right.
“I just want to end the war in Ukraine,” Trump said.
Regarding Iran, the US President stressed that he “did the right thing” in his dealings with the Iranian file.
Trump’s statements come at a time when the war in Ukraine is still open to efforts to stop the fighting and reach a settlement, in parallel with the continuing tension between the United States and Iran against the backdrop of military confrontation and mutual political and economic pressures.
