The newspaper “Marca” revealed that the relationship between Barcelona and Marc Casado witnessed tension before the player moved to Deportivo La Coruna on loan until June 30, 2027.
Barcelona was seeking to sell Casado permanently for about 25 million euros, after his estimated value last summer ranged between 30 and 40 million, but the file ended with him being loaned at the last minute, with the Catalan club bearing a large portion of his salary.
According to the newspaper, the player was not satisfied with the way he was dealt with, while Barcelona expressed its dissatisfaction with the course of his departure after months of trying to sell him.
Tension increased after Casado rejected offers from Saudi Arabia and Turkey, before he trained alone and his number within the team was withdrawn from him.
