Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that his country strongly defends its interests in the diplomatic field as well as in the military field, stressing that Tehran will defend the rights of the Iranian people at the negotiating table.
Araqchi stressed that Iran will not tolerate any violations of the ceasefire, and will not allow these violations to become a normal matter, stressing that his country is confronting them for this reason.
Regarding regional relations, he stressed that Iran seeks to establish good relations with all Islamic countries, especially neighboring countries, and work to expand its economic relations with them.
Regarding Egypt, Araqchi said that there is no basis for the dispute between Iran and Cairo, stressing his country’s readiness to resume relations whenever Egypt decides to do so.
As for the Lebanese file, the Iranian Foreign Minister indicated that Tehran wants to establish good relations with all Lebanese groups and factions, and also stressed its readiness to build good relations with the Lebanese government.
On the other hand, Araqchi explained that Iran does not agree with some of the Lebanese government’s policies, expressing his hope that the Lebanese Foreign Ministry would show “more rationality.”
