A Turkish F-16 military plane crashed in the city of Yalova, northwestern Türkiye, while carrying out a training mission, while the pilot survived after jumping from the plane in the last moments.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that the plane had taken off from the first main command base for jet aircraft in Eskişehir, before it crashed within the borders of Yalova during a training flight, without the causes of the accident being clear yet.

Following the accident, a rescue team was sent to the crash site, while initial information indicated that the pilot was able to jump from the plane and is in good health.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense confirmed that the causes of the plane crash will be determined after completing a detailed investigation into the accident.
