The Kuwaiti army announced, at dawn on Sunday, that its air defense systems responded to missile attacks and enemy aircraft, stressing that the sounds of explosions heard were due to interception operations.

The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army said, in a statement, that any sounds of explosions heard were the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks, calling on citizens and residents to adhere to security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities.

In Bahrain, the Ministry of Interior announced the sounding of sirens, calling on citizens and residents to remain calm, go to the nearest safe place, and follow developments through official channels.

This comes a day after Gulf countries condemned the attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, considering them a blatant violation of sovereignty and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.

For its part, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency, expressed its condemnation “in the strongest terms” of the attack, stressing that the continuation of these attacks “places the Iranian regime responsible for undermining peace.”
