The English national football team was subjected to a theft incident that included part of its training equipment before arriving at its camp in the American city of Kansas City, while local authorities began investigations to uncover the circumstances of the incident.

The England national team, led by coach Thomas Tuchel, is preparing to enter the decisive stage of its preparations for the World Cup, as it is scheduled to arrive in the American Midwest region on Saturday evening after completing a training camp in Florida.

According to media reports, shoes and training balls intended for the team’s first training session at the Soccer Village complex were lost, sparking an unexpected crisis before the start of the preparatory program in Kansas City.

The English Football Association confirmed to PA Media that the incident had occurred, noting that it could not provide further details at the present time because the case was under investigation by the police.

For its part, Kansas City Police in Missouri explained that they are investigating “a possible incident related to the theft of equipment from one of the team’s vehicles after discovering that some items were missing on Friday evening, local time,” stressing that investigations are still ongoing.

The England national team is expected to play its first training session at the Soccer Village complex on Saturday, before starting its World Cup campaign against Croatia next Wednesday, then meeting Ghana and Panama in the twelfth group competitions.
