In this context, Minister Haider received the Deputy Regional Director and Director of the Decent Work Team for Arab Countries at the International Labor Organization, Ms. Claire Mulder, where they discussed issues of common interest and ongoing cooperation between the Ministry and the International Organization. Minister Haider also met with former Minister Abdullah Farhat and reviewed the general situation with him.
In the context of union follow-up, the Minister of Labor met with a delegation from the employees union of the cellular companies “Alpha” and “Touch” (MTC), headed by Mr. Mark Aoun. Aoun explained after the meeting that the discussion focused on the issue of paying end-of-service compensation to employees in implementation of the decisions of the State Shura Council and the Council of Ministers, in addition to emphasizing respect for the implementation of the collective labor contract, thanking Minister Haider for always standing by the workers to protect their rights and gains.
The Minister concluded his meetings by receiving a delegation from the Bakery Owners Syndicate in the North, headed by Mr. Tariq Al-Meer, where they discussed the current problems and issues of concern to the bakery and oven sector in the Northern Region and ways to support its continuity.
