Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Elias Bou Saab, received in his office in the House today, the Economic Advisor to the Special Envoy of the French President, Jacques Dolagogue, accompanied by the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, the Financial Advisor for the Near East Region, Vincent Deidry, and the Economic Attaché, Kenza Wazzani, in the presence of Representative Alain Aoun.
The meeting witnessed an extensive discussion about the reform laws related to the economic recovery plan, and the path of negotiation with the International Monetary Fund, where the necessity of approving the legislation required to keep pace with the plan was emphasized.
The discussions were completed with a “working lunch” joined by the Minister of Finance, Yassin Jaber, and the Minister of Economy and Trade, Dr. Amer Basat, where the attendees agreed on the importance of enhancing coordination and joint cooperation to ensure the smooth implementation of the financial and economic recovery plan.
