In a new position that reflects Washington’s adherence to its strict line on the Iranian nuclear issue, US President Donald Trump confirmed that things with Iran are “going well,” stressing at the same time that Tehran will not be able to possess a nuclear weapon.
Trump said that the United States is “doing well” in its dealings with Iran, considering that the Iranians are not in a position to possess a nuclear weapon.
He added that Iran “will not be able to possess a nuclear weapon,” in a new confirmation of his administration’s position that rejects any path that allows Tehran to reach this option.
Trump’s statements come in light of the continuing tension between Washington and Tehran, and the continuation of contacts related to the Iranian nuclear file, amid repeated American emphasis on preventing Iran from developing military nuclear capabilities.
