A new appearance of the former British Prince Andrew raised widespread questions in British media circles, after he was spotted leaving “Marsh Farm” in the village of Sandrigham in Norfolk County, with a mysterious purple bruise on his face around his right eye that extended to part of his cheek.
The causes of the injury or its timing have not yet become clear, which opened the door to a wave of speculation about its circumstances, especially since Prince Andrew’s public appearances have become rare in recent years.
This comes weeks after he was exposed to a security incident in the same village, when a man approached him and shouted at him while he was walking with the corgi dogs that belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II, which prompted him to quickly leave the place in his car amid a state of tension.
The incident brought back to the forefront Andrew’s demands to restore his security protection, after King Charles III stopped funding it from public funds in August 2024 against the backdrop of the repercussions of the case of the late American businessman Jeffrey Epstein.
In parallel, new data emerged over the past few days related to Prince Andrew’s file, after reports revealed that Buckingham Palace had handed over in 2020 an archive containing about 30,000 e-mail messages related to his previous communications and activities.
According to circulated information, the messages included details related to government information and financial transactions dating back to his period as a trade envoy to the United Kingdom between 2001 and 2011, while Buckingham Palace declined to comment due to the ongoing investigations.
British investigations are also continuing, addressing a wide range of allegations related to his behavior over the past years, including financial and administrative files and other issues that are being scrutinized by the competent authorities.
Prince Andrew insists on denying any wrongdoing, while investigations are still open awaiting the results of the ongoing legal procedures.
