Bloomberg reported, citing sources, that Iran launched a Fateh-110 ballistic missile towards Kuwait, where Kuwaiti air defense systems were able to intercept and destroy it in the air.

The sources added that the missile debris fell, during the past 24 hours, inside the Ali Al-Salem Air Base northwest of Kuwait, slightly wounding five Americans, including soldiers and military contractors.

The debris also caused severe damage to two MQ-9 Reaper drones, as one of them was completely destroyed, while the other suffered severe structural damage.

This development comes at a sensitive time, while US President Donald Trump is studying a possible agreement to extend the fragile truce and ceasefire that has existed between the United States and Iran since last April.
