
Rasamny considered that “the launch of the shared electric transport line between Jbeil and Beirut constitutes a foundational step for rebuilding the public transport sector in Lebanon on modern and sustainable foundations,” stressing that “public transport is a fundamental right for the citizen and a pillar of any productive economy and organized state.” He explained that “the project connects Beirut and Jbeil through seven stations using four modern electric buses equipped with monitoring systems and an operations room, at a cost of 200 thousand Lebanese pounds, in parallel with work on launching the line.” Transport between Jbeil and the shrine of Saint Charbel in Annaya at a cost of 100 thousand liras, within the framework of promoting clean transportation and reducing congestion and pollution.”
