FC Barcelona announced the renewal of the contract of its coach, Hansi Flick, until the summer of 2028, with the aim of maintaining technical stability within the team after the period during which the coach led the Catalan team in various tournaments.

The official account of FC Barcelona published a picture of the German coach bearing the slogan “2028,” confirming that Flick will continue with the club during the coming years, amid a great welcome from the team’s fans, who expressed their support for the continuation of the coach after the results he achieved recently.

The decision to renew came after a series of meetings between Flick and the Barcelona administration, led by its president, Joan Laporta, as the two parties agreed on all the terms of the new contract, in addition to continuing work on the current technical project within “Camp Nou.”

The Barcelona administration was keen to give the German coach a long-term contract in light of the belief in the role he played in returning the team to its well-known attacking style, in addition to developing a number of young players and giving them more space within the starting lineup.

The new contract included improvements in contract terms, in addition to increasing the technical powers granted to the German coach, allowing him to implement his plans for the coming seasons.

The Barcelona administration chose to continue with Flick instead of making new technical changes after it saw that the current project needed more time to maintain the development that had recently appeared in the team. (Russia Today)
