Al-Hilal Club maintained its full chances of winning the Saudi Professional Football League title, after achieving a valuable victory over its guest, NEOM, with two clean goals, in the match that was held on the floor of the “Kingdom Arena” stadium in the capital, Riyadh, for the thirty-third and penultimate round of the competition.

Neves and Mendes secure the three points
The hosts did not delay in finding the net, as Al Hilal took the lead early with a goal scored by Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves from a penalty kick he successfully executed just nine minutes after the starting whistle sounded. In the second half, Sultan Mandash secured Al Hilal’s victory by scoring the second goal in the fifty-seventh minute.

With this victory, Al-Hilal raised its score to eighty-one points in second place, tightening the noose on leaders Al-Nasr by reducing the gap with them to only two points, in preparation for the final round, which will be held next Thursday.

The square struggle and the final coronation calculations
In the rest of the ranking positions, Al-Ahly is in third place with seventy-eight points, followed by Al-Qadisiyah in fourth place with seventy-four points, while Al-Ittihad (the defending champion) is in fifth place with fifty-five points.

The fans are awaiting a breathtaking final round; Al-Hilal travels to face Al-Fayhaa outside its base, while Al-Nasr receives the Damac team at its home stadium, which is fighting to escape the specter of relegation. Al-Nasr will be required to defeat Damak to officially win the title, without paying attention to what the outcome of the confrontation with Al-Hilal and Al-Fayhaa will be.
