Google launches an innovative feature to organize conversations and documents in... "Jiminy"

Google announced the provision of the “Notebooks” feature to all users of the Gemini application, after this feature was exclusive only to subscribers to the paid artificial intelligence service.

This feature enables users to save their discussions, files, and resources into one organized project, allowing the application to utilize the contents of this notebook when asking new questions, which facilitates the workflow and eliminates the need to start from scratch every time.

This feature will appear as a new section called “Notebooks” in the app’s sidebar, specifically between the “Gems” and “Conversations” sections. Any dialogue can be saved through the three-dot menu, with the ability to specify specific instructions to determine the method, style and form of the response, or deactivate the memory if you do not want to return to the saved dialogues.

This system integrates with NotebookLM, Google’s independent search tool, and content is updated between the two applications automatically, allowing the use of video presentation and graphing features without the need to manually move sources.

The free version allows you to add up to 50 sources per notebook, while the paid Ultra package allows you to add up to 600 sources.

At present, Gemini’s suite of tools is complete, including online search and other AI-based functions.

Notebooks is currently only available on the web, with mobile and Mac apps expected to be more widely available in the coming weeks.
