In remarkable statements, Washington talks about Iran's oil stagnant in the sea

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said on Friday that lifting sanctions on Iranian oil piled up on board tankers will allow supplies to reach Asian markets within a period ranging between three and four days.

In a related context, Treasury Secretary Scott Besent said on Thursday that the United States may soon take a decision to lift sanctions on Iranian oil seized on tankers at sea, as Washington seeks to limit the rise in prices resulting from Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

During an interview with Fox Business Network, Wright explained: “Within a few days, specifically within three or four days, these oil shipments will begin arriving at the ports.”

He also pointed out that the volume of Iranian oil currently available in the sea is estimated at about 140 million barrels, which is enough to cover consumption for a period ranging between 10 and 14 days.

It should be noted that the price of Brent crude rose to more than $119 per barrel on Thursday, approaching its highest level recorded on March 9, after Iran responded to an Israeli attack targeting a major gas field, which led to the disruption of 17 percent of Qatar’s ability to produce liquefied natural gas, and caused damage that may take up to five years to repair.

On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel acted alone in the attack, and that Iran no longer has the ability to enrich uranium or manufacture ballistic missiles. (Sky News Arabia)
