The official spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghaei, announced that “the American-Israeli criminal aggression has entered the stage of deliberate attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure.”
Baghaei also stated that “the criminal aggression of America and Israel against the Iranian people has entered a new dangerous phase.”
He stated that “the attacks on fuel storage facilities amount to ‘deliberate chemical warfare’ against the Iranians.”
He explained that “the aggressors, by targeting fuel depots, caused the emission of dangerous and toxic substances into the air.”
He stressed that “the repercussions of this environmental and humanitarian catastrophe will not be limited to Iran’s borders only.”
These statements issued by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, Ismail Baghaei, come in the midst of the escalation of the military confrontation between Iran and “Israel,” which during the past few days witnessed a series of mutual strikes targeting military sites and infrastructure in multiple regions.
Tehran accuses the United States and Israel of being behind the attacks that targeted vital facilities inside Iranian territory, including energy-related facilities and fuel stores, in the context of what Iran considers an attempt to undermine its logistical and economic capabilities.
On the other hand, “Israel” confirms that it is carrying out military operations targeting what it describes as military structures and facilities related to Iran’s missile and military programs, as part of a broader campaign aimed at reducing Tehran’s military capabilities.
