Fayyad: Lebanon is going through a critical and pivotal stage...and dialogue is a way to save it

During a political meeting at the Imam Khomeini Complex in Tahouitet al-Ghadir with the people of the southern town of Blida, MP Ali Fayyad, a member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc, stated that the country is facing a critical juncture that requires everyone to act with the utmost responsibility to save it, bring it to safety, and enable the Lebanese people to face the increasing difficulties and challenges. He stressed that this requires consultation, dialogue and understanding on the basic issues raised.

Fayyad explained that there is clear pressure, especially in this period, aimed at making the northern region of the Litani River a scene for the exacerbation of problems between the Lebanese army, the resistance, and its environment.

He added that the leadership of the Lebanese Army has sufficient wisdom, national responsibility, and awareness to enable it to deal with this stage with the utmost maturity and rationality, stressing that the Lebanese Army is the national army, and that its officers and soldiers are the sons of the nation, stressing the need to deal with the current situation in a way that prevents enemies from achieving their goals.

He pointed out that the resistance does not have any armed presence, whether north of the Litani River or anywhere else, and does not carry out any military activities that conflict with the sovereignty of the state or with the field role of the Lebanese army, calling on everyone to realize the magnitude of the current challenges, and to emphasize the importance of dialogue, communication and consultation, to prevent the enemy from turning the problem from a conflict between Lebanon and Israel into a conflict between the Lebanese themselves.
