A $1.5 billion deal to modernize a field "Singer" Kuwaiti Oil Company

SLP, a leader in the oil field services sector, announced that it had won a huge five-year contract worth one and a half billion US dollars with Kuwait Oil Company. This contract aims to develop the “Mutriba” field located in the northwest of the State of Kuwait.

Oil producers in the Middle East, Africa and Asia regions are moving towards enhancing their oil reserves, which is prompting an increase in exploration and drilling operations in these regions, and thus a rise in demand for specialized services in oil fields.

Under the terms of this agreement, SLP will be responsible for the design, development and full management of the Matriba field’s production.

The company confirmed that this contract relies heavily on its accumulated experience and knowledge of the ground in the “Mutriba” field, and will include the development of deep reservoirs characterized by “high” pressure and “high” temperature.

It should be noted that last December, SLP obtained a similar five-year contract with Aramco to provide it with stimulation services for the unconventional gas fields of the giant Saudi energy company.
