"Distortion is unacceptable": "Owners" They denounce the distortion of facts

The Owners Syndicate issued a statement confirming that the failure to activate the Tenant Support Fund committees did not harm the old tenants as was rumored, but rather directly and exclusively harmed the owners who alone bore the consequences of this disruption for many years without any protection or compensation.

The union pointed out that the primary goal of the rent law had already been achieved by extending the contracts of old tenants for periods ranging between 9 and 12 years, describing this extension as exceptional and done entirely at the expense of the owners who were deprived during this period of their natural right to dispose of their property or benefit from it fairly, considering this a grave and unparalleled injustice.

The union stressed that attempts to falsify facts and claim that owners are the beneficiaries, or that tenants are harmed by the failure to activate the committees, are false allegations and are considered a “described fraud” on public opinion, on the legal letter and spirit, and on the suffering of owners whose rights were confiscated for many years under false pretexts.

The union concluded its statement by emphasizing its rejection of any continued distortion or manipulation of facts, considering that the time for owners to bear the burdens of crises has ended, and that respecting the law and private property rights is not an option but rather a “constitutional duty” that cannot be ignored.

This position of the Owners Syndicate comes in light of the ongoing controversy over the application of the rental law and the mechanisms for activating the Tenant Support Fund committees, especially after years of exceptional extension of old lease contracts.

During the recent period, the file witnessed legal and media discussions, with accusations being exchanged about the party that bears the cost of the obstruction, while the owners demanded that the law be implemented as it is, and that the state bear its responsibilities in support and compensation instead of keeping the burden on one party.
