Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, held a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, to discuss the latest regional developments and the events that Iran has witnessed recently.
During the conversation, the Iranian president expressed his belief that the United States and Israel had blatantly intervened by supporting what he described as “rioters,” explaining that Washington and Tel Aviv believed that these events would turn Iran into a version of Syria or Libya, but, in his words, they misjudged “the truth, depth, and greatness of the Iranian people.”
Pezeshkian stressed that broad popular participation and vigilance thwarted the efforts of these interventions and the conspiracies accompanying them, expressing his appreciation for the support that his country received from Islamic countries, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during this period.
On the other hand, the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, affirmed that the Kingdom “will not accept any aggression, threat, or raising tension” against the Islamic Republic of Iran, declaring Riyadh’s readiness to cooperate with Iran and the rest of the countries of the region in order to achieve peace and enhance permanent security.
