A new term at the head of the Banking Employees Union in the North

The Council of the Banking Employees Syndicate in the North renewed its confidence in Captain Hassan Rifi for a second term, after holding midterm elections to choose six new members of the Council.

The Council, with all its twelve members, held a meeting in the presence of the President of the Union of Bank Employees, George Al-Hajj, and the Secretary-General of the Union, Mazen Qabbani, in addition to the Executive Council member, Omar Anouti, and the legal advisor, lawyer Shadi Abu Issa. The elections resulted in the distribution of administrative positions as follows:

-Hassan Rifi: Captain (BLC Bank).
-Christian Obaid Maiki: Deputy Chairman (FSB Bank).
-Khaled Mawas: Secretary (LGB Bank).
Firas Wehbe: Treasurer (BOB Bank).
-Joseph Chahine: Deputy Secretary (BLF Bank).
-Sandy Saliba: Accountant (SGBL Bank).

The Council also included in its advisory membership the following: Nizar Taqouzli, Ali Sankari, Suleiman Saad, George Qayrou, Tahseen Amoudi, and Hisham Al-Sheikh, representatives of various operating banks.
