Parliamentary support for state restoration efforts: Intensive discussions in Baabda Palace

The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, received at Baabda Palace MP Naama Ephrem, where he reviewed with him the general situation the country is going through. The meeting discussed a number of pressing political and national issues, against the backdrop of the rapid developments taking place in the region.

Following the meeting, Representative Ephraim stated that he discussed various topics with the President, expressing his full support for the positions taken by the President of the Republic in order to preserve Lebanon’s sovereignty and protect it from the crises ravaging the region.

Ephrem also praised the initiative launched by President Aoun with the aim of “rebuilding a strong state,” considering that this goal should be a priority for all Lebanese, especially in light of the achievements achieved during the past year of his term, which raises optimism that the future will bring more good news.

In a related context, President Aoun received MP Michel Daher, who in turn confirmed after the meeting that he praised His Excellency the President’s insistence on moving forward with establishing the state on new foundations, indicating that the measures taken clearly reflect this serious approach. Daher stressed the importance of the efforts of the President of the Republic receiving the necessary support from various parties, in order to “establish a state of truth, law and justice, according to what was stated in his oath of office.”

Daher added that the discussion also addressed the situation in the south and the effects of the Israeli attacks, stressing the need to provide the necessary assistance to the affected southerners. He also pointed out that the meeting touched on the needs of the Bekaa region, especially the need to find a solution to the problem of the “Dahr al-Baydar Road,” which is considered a lifeline for the people of the region in particular, and for all Lebanese in general.

These meetings come within the framework of a series of consultations conducted by the President of the Republic with representatives and political figures, in order to follow up on a sensitive phase that Lebanon is going through on the political and security levels, in light of the continuing tension in the south, and the ongoing economic and development challenges in several regions.

President Aoun had repeatedly affirmed his commitment to moving forward with the project to rebuild the state and strengthen its institutions, based on the “oath speech,” stressing the priority of sovereignty, protecting stability, and achieving social justice and balanced development.
