The National News Agency announced a tragic accident that occurred this evening on the Al-Ghaziyeh highway towards Sidon, where a collision between a car and a motorcycle near the Al-Qanaya roundabout led to the death of one person.
It turned out that the victim is the young man “Mustafa Bassam Ibrahim,” who breathed his last breath affected by the serious injuries he sustained in the accident.
The Al-Ghaziyeh – Sidon highway witnesses frequent traffic accidents, especially at the entrances to the city and at the “Al-Qanaya roundabout,” due to heavy traffic congestion, the overlap of car traffic with motorcycles, in addition to speeding at times.
These accidents are repeated almost regularly, which confirms the need to strengthen traffic safety measures, increase oversight, and improve traffic organization in sensitive areas, in order to avoid the recurrence of such tragedies.
