التعليم الرسمي: هل يواجه تحديات؟

Official education in Lebanon is witnessing an acute crisis caused by deep divisions within educational associations, which directly affects students who pay the price for various strikes and inconsistent decisions.

Amid open and intermittent strikes, confusion increases among families and students due to the absence of a unified union vision and a clear government plan.

Nisreen Shaheen, head of the Association of Contract Teachers in Basic Education, stated via Red TV that the announced strike does not include elementary schools, but is limited to secondary and vocational schools, considering that the dispersion of movements weakens the pressure on the government and contributes to finding non-radical solutions.

She affirmed the contractors’ adherence to the open strike as a means to achieve a comprehensive solution that includes a fair rank and salary scale, in addition to the regularization of contractors and guaranteeing their rights.

In contrast, other associations continue their steps with the threat of escalation.

In the midst of this dispute, the student remains the most affected party, while official education approaches total collapse as a result of the absence of state intervention and its failure to assume its responsibilities.
