Real Madrid coach excuses the fans’ anger towards the players

Spaniard Álvaro Arbeloa, Real Madrid coach, showed great joy after the 2-0 victory over Levante, in the match that was held today, Saturday, at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, as part of the twentieth round of La Liga.

In statements to Real Madrid channel after the match, Arbeloa stated: “Winning today’s match was crucial, we had a difficult week, and now we must focus on Tuesday’s match (against Monaco).”

He also added: “We needed to speed up the play with the ball, because teams usually gather in defense in front of us.”

Regarding his feeling of returning to the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, Arbeloa said: “Returning to the Bernabéu as a manager is wonderful, I feel like this is an unforgettable day.”

Regarding the match against Monaco in the Champions League, he explained: “There is not enough time to rest, we must strive to score the three points to stay within the top eight.”

Regarding the boos directed at Real Madrid players, Arbeloa commented: “I have been in such a situation before at the Bernabéu when I was a player, and this helped me, we suffered a difficult week and the fans have every right because they want us to play at a level befitting the name of the club.”

Regarding the boos specifically directed at Vinicius, the Real coach said: “I will try to bring out the best in him and that the rest of the players always look for him, he is a wonderful player and represents the values of Real Madrid.”

He added: “He can get past defenders because he is a unique player, I am really proud to be his coach, and he will be able to bring us titles as he has always done.”

He continued: “Vinicius contributed to Real Madrid winning two Champions League titles, we must not forget that, he took a lot of responsibility and carried the team on his shoulders, and I want him to enjoy his time again.”

Regarding Vinicius’s reaction to the boos, he mentioned: “Vinicius is fine and happy to have achieved victory in today’s match, we will improve and we will fight to win all the tournaments.”

Regarding the boos directed at President Florentino Pérez, the Real Madrid coach stated: “I know the source of these boos and the campaigns against them, they come from people who do not like Real Madrid.”

Arbeloa concluded his speech by saying: “For me, it is a great honor to have a president who is the most important figure in the history of this club, alongside Santiago Bernabéu, he has achieved everything.”
