Paris Saint-Germain bid farewell to the French Cup early, extinguishing their dream of achieving a “sextuple in 2025.”
In an unexpected surprise, Paris FC managed to achieve victory in the derby match against their giant counterpart Paris Saint-Germain with a score of one goal to none, in a meeting held on Monday evening as part of the round of 16 of the French Cup.
“Jonathan Ikone” scored the only goal of the match for the guests in the 74th minute, on the أرضية ملعب “حديقة الأمراء” (ground of the “Parc des Princes” stadium), which is considered the stronghold of the PSG team.
With this victory, the newly promoted team avenged their previous loss on the same ground with a score of 1-2 in the derby match that brought the two teams together on January 4th, and also stripped Paris Saint-Germain of the Cup title they won in the previous two seasons.
In addition, this defeat spoiled Paris Saint-Germain’s joy in winning the French Super Cup at the expense of Olympique Marseille in Kuwait, which was achieved last Thursday.
