Safadi and Abdel-Aty stressed the importance of adhering to the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and its full implementation in accordance with the plan of US President Donald Trump, pointing to the need to introduce sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to the sector, move to the second phase of the agreement, announce the formation of a Palestinian technocratic committee to manage the sector, deploy the international stabilization force, and create the appropriate conditions for early recovery and reconstruction, while emphasizing the preservation of the unity of the Palestinian territories between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and linking stabilization efforts to a clear political horizon that achieves a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

The two ministers warned of the seriousness of the illegal Israeli measures in the West Bank, considering that they increase tension and undermine de-escalation efforts and opportunities to achieve a just peace, stressing that the two-state solution is the only way to achieve security, stability and lasting peace in the region.

The call addressed developments in the situations in Syria and Lebanon, where Safadi and Abdel-Aty stressed the importance of achieving security and stability in Syria, respecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and guaranteeing the safety of its citizens. They also stressed the need to stop the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, support its security, stability and sovereignty, and support its efforts in supporting its national institutions.

The two ministers expressed their categorical rejection of Israel’s declaration of recognition of the territory of Somaliland, affirming their full support for the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, considering that this is the basis for the stability of the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.

They also stressed their support for all efforts aimed at achieving de-escalation and reducing escalation in Yemen, and supporting dialogue between the Yemeni parties in a way that guarantees the security and stability of Yemen and its neighbors, respects its sovereignty, and meets the aspirations of its people.
