ترامب: واشنطن تحدد الشركات النفطية الأمريكية المصرح لها بالاستثمار بفنزويلا

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States will choose the companies that can invest in the Venezuelan oil sector, stressing that oil companies will deal directly with Washington, and not with the current Venezuelan government.

Trump pointed out that American companies “will make a great fortune from Venezuela,” indicating that his country will study in the coming period how to develop the oil industry in that country.

The U.S. President mentioned that Venezuela supplied the United States with about 30 million barrels of oil “yesterday,” as he put it, adding that Washington also seized an oil tanker that left Venezuela without its permission.

These statements come amid continuing political and economic tensions in Venezuela, amid intense international and regional movements related to energy files and crises in the Middle East.
