ترامب: كوبا تعتمد بشكل كامل على فنزويلا.. والعملية قد تكون انتقامًا لـ "روبيو"

In a television interview with “Fox News,” US President Donald Trump stated that the Cuban economy is entirely dependent on financial and energy support coming from Venezuela.

Trump explained: “Cuba depends entirely on Venezuela for money and oil, and in return, Cuba provides protection for Venezuela. That has always been the agreement.”

Trump also suggested that the operation that took place in Venezuela could be a retaliatory reaction from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is of Cuban immigrant descent.

In the interview, Trump mentioned that Rubio “knows Cuba very well,” adding that it “depends entirely on Venezuela financially and in the field of oil.” When the presenter alluded to the possibility that the operation in Venezuela might be “revenge from Marco,” Trump replied: “Maybe it was.”

Earlier, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel stated that 32 Cubans had died while carrying out combat missions, as a result of US attempts to kidnap Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

It is reported that the United States carried out a large-scale attack on Venezuela on January 3, which resulted in the arrest of Maduro and his wife and their transfer to New York. Trump announced that Maduro and Flores would be tried on charges of involvement in “narco-terrorism” and posing a threat to the United States, while Maduro and his wife denied these charges during a court hearing in New York.
