إحالة ملف أبو عمر بعد الإطاحة بـ "الأمير الوهمي" تمهيداً للمحاكمة

The Cassation Public Prosecutor, Judge Jamal Hajjar, has completed the preliminary investigations into the case of the fake prince known as “Abu Omar.” The case is scheduled to be referred on Wednesday to the Attorney General of Appeal in Beirut, Judge Raja Jammoush, in preparation for initiating legal proceedings against those involved.

Judge Hajjar heard the testimony of businessman Sarhan Barakat as a witness in the case, in the presence of his lawyer, as Barakat is considered the first to expose this deception.

In addition, Hajjar heard the statements of former Minister Youssef Fenianos, due to receiving a phone call from “Abu Omar” before the presidential elections. During the call, “Abu Omar” claimed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supports the nomination of the head of the Marada Movement, Suleiman Frangieh, for the presidency. According to Fenianos’ testimony, he replied, “If that is the case, then a visit by Frangieh to the Kingdom should be arranged,” before communication between them stopped at that point.

The investigations revealed that Sheikh Khaldoun Oreimeet had a pivotal role in facilitating communication between “Abu Omar” and a number of politicians and businessmen.
